Karlsruhe has made its choice! Over 500 young and old
audience members submitted their suggestions for the Christmas fairy tale of the season. A clear favorite emerged, whose charms seem to have captivated not just a single prince, but an entire city: Cinderella. The touching story about a brave girl with a big heart has enchanted generations of children through books, radio plays, animated films and television series. Tormented by her stepmother, Cinderella ekes out a miserable existence. Then a piece of news makes the hearts of every young girl in the land beat faster - a ball is about to take place. But too soon, while the rest of the family sets off for the big party, our heroine stays at home as usual. Meanwhile, resistance stirs for the first time. The orphan girl decides to take her future into her own hands and no longer allow herself to be treated like a stepmother. The fairy tale
thus becomes an encouraging message for the present: stand up for yourself, don't put up with everything and go your own way.
