Aline Frazão grew up in Angola's capital Luanda, came to Lisbon to study at the age of eighteen, lived in Spain for a long time afterwards and has since returned to Luanda. She began writing songs at a very early age, and in these first compositions she was influenced by a wide range of styles: bossa nova, jazz and the music of Cape Verde. The reference to her Angolan homeland and her Creole roots was always central. The new album "Uma Música Angolana" offers a sonorous universe full of jazz blends and improvisations, danced to a beat that comes from inside the body, from inside the feelings. Because it is more necessary than ever to reconnect.
