Catholic District Choir Bruchsal
Choir of the Hofkirche Bruchsal
Kammerphilharmonie Mannheim
Julia Obert (soprano)
Lorenzo de Cunzo (baritone)
Dominik Axtmann (conductor)
This memorial and peace concert commemorates the liberation
Bruchsal from National Socialism 80 years ago.
What could be better suited to this than the highly romantic Requiem by
French composer Gabriel Fauré, which is less focused on
drama and horror than peace and redemption?
Also the other choral and orchestral works by Fauré,
Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Bach took the theme of "peace" as their starting point.
Basis.
The catholic district choir Bruchsal, the choir of the Hofkirche
Bruchsal, the Mannheim Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra and
Vocal soloists perform under the direction of
District cantor Dominik Axtmann.
