The Karlsruhe Youth Symphonic Wind Orchestra (SJBO), founded in 1974, is the select orchestra of the Karlsruhe Wind Music Association (BVK) and brings together about 70 musicians aged 13 to 26. Successes in national and international competitions—including in Linz (2017) and Trossingen (2022)—as well as concert tours to Europe, China, and Brazil define the ensemble’s musical work. In addition to concerts in the region, the annual Epiphany Concerts in Bruchsal are among the highlights. In addition to our goal of presenting symphonic wind music at the highest level, we are particularly distinguished by our strong team spirit and our commitment to fostering the personal development of all our musicians.
