On the occasion of the nationwide Read Aloud Day on November 21, 2025, KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH invites you to an exciting evening. From 6:30 pm, Karlsruhe lawyer and city councillor Dr. Rahsan Dogan will be a guest at Schaufenster Karlsruhe on Marktplatz and read from her second novel "The Curse of the Waldensians".

The plot: A ten-year-old boy disappears without a trace and is found dead a few days later in the Grünwettersbach forest. The child had ingested a lethal amount of deadly nightshade. The tragic case haunts Karlsruhe lawyer Adeviye Bel, who learns by chance that a boy had already died in a similar way a year earlier. The two seemingly tragic accidents never let go of Adeviye Bel. During her research, she comes across the mysterious curse of the Waldensians. A shocking discovery gives the case an unexpected new twist. Adeviye Bel is forced to act. In the process, she questions her own conscience.

In her fictional Karlsruhe thriller "Der Fluch der Waldenser", the author captivates with a stirring confrontation between faith and delusion, reason and madness. The novel is published by verlag regionalkultur, ISBN 978-3-95505-541-7, EURO 16,--.
