Culture, Enjoyment, and Shared Experiences: Karlsruhe Is Expanding Its Group Programs in a Targeted Manner

A new landing page and a new bus group planner are designed to specifically target group tour operators and travel agencies. At the same time, unique offers for clubs and companies invite them to (re)discover Karlsruhe as a team.

“Vibrant Culture” and “Authentic Life” are two of the key promises of experience for visitors to Karlsruhe that KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH has outlined in its new tourism strategy. To ensure that these promises are fulfilled in its group offerings as well, KTG is focusing its offerings in this area and presenting group tours and packages to Karlsruhe in a bundled format with attractive special rates.

To specifically target bus tour operators and agencies, there is a new landing page and a new bus group planner available in German and English. Here, tour operators can find complete itineraries—including activities, lodging options, and dining—for bus groups at a glance.

“Group travel is an important market segment for Karlsruhe,” emphasizes KTG Managing Director Pascal Rastetter. “It generates additional overnight stays and bolsters the hotel industry, the restaurant sector, cultural institutions, and numerous other tourism service providers.”

At the same time, demands in the bus travel segment have risen significantly in recent years. “That’s why we’ve worked closely with our destination sales team and the tourist information team to consistently refine our offerings for group travelers,” explains Pascal Rastetter. “New partnerships, attractive experiences, and professional service now create the ideal conditions for tour operators and groups in Karlsruhe.”

Rediscover Karlsruhe: Opportunities for Clubs, Businesses, and Groups in the Region

For example, in cooperation with the ZKM | Center for Art and Media or the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, KTG offers fascinating behind-the-scenes glimpses into the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe. But the theme of indulgence isn’t neglected either, as seen in tastings such as “Turmberg Wine Tasting—Baden’s Joy of Life in a Glass” or “Badisch Brauhaus—All About Cuisine, Beer, and Whiskey.”

But it’s also well worth it for clubs, private groups, or professional groups from Karlsruhe and the surrounding region to take part in a discovery tour of the “Fan City.” Whether it’s a walking tour through downtown Karlsruhe, the Durlach Old Town, or the Dammerstock Bauhaus housing estate, or a guided tour through the themed areas of the Zoologischer Stadtgarten—there are plenty of new insights and exciting stories in store for the group. You can enjoyably discover Karlsruhe on culinary walking tours and gourmet seminars, while mindful walks, bike tours, and canoe trips guide participants on a relaxing journey through nature.

Designed specifically for seniors, these informative city tours take participants through the city at a leisurely and comfortable pace, with regular breaks. In addition, the discovery tours can be adapted for people with mobility impairments and wheelchair users through carefully planned routes. The tours are also offered for people with visual impairments and in sign language.

Whether it’s a bus tour, a club outing, or a corporate event—Karlsruhe offers groups a wide variety of options that combine culture, enjoyment, and shared experiences.
