A ribeye steak, seared cod, or perhaps baked smoked tofu with pointed cabbage? In the summer of 2026, Karlsruhe will once again become a mecca for food lovers. From June 5 through September 30, guests can choose an exclusive three-course meal for two at participating restaurants for a flat price of 99 euros. Whether it’s a romantic dinner for two, a special evening with friends, or simply a delightful occasion to celebrate summer—the “Karlsruhe Summer of Delights” combines seasonal cuisine, creative menus, and the special atmosphere of balmy summer evenings.
KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH launched the “Genuss-Sommer” in 2025 with the goal of showcasing the full range of Karlsruhe’s dining scene—from upscale restaurants to charming, traditional inns. Project manager Stefanie Sprenger from KTG is delighted: “The response to the premiere of the ‘Genuss-Sommer’ was tremendous! Many of the participating restaurants had over 70 reservations within a week. Due to its great success, restaurants from the Karlsruhe area are also participating for the first time this year, because, as we all know, good taste knows no (city) boundaries!”
Thanks to the “Genuss-Sommer,” restaurateurs were also able to welcome new guests who might not otherwise have visited their restaurants, says Mario Aliberti, chef de cuisine and managing director of 5 SEN:SES: “Campaigns like this are incredibly important because they generate attention and strengthen the local restaurant scene. The ‘Genuss-Sommer’ also helps break down any reservations people might have about fine dining. In a relaxed atmosphere, people can try new things and discover that good dining is, above all, about enjoyment, hospitality, and special moments.”
Whether it’s fine dining, creative food trends, or traditional pub culture—the participating restaurants showcase what Karlsruhe and its region have to offer in terms of cuisine. The menus are curated seasonally and with great attention to detail. Guests can look forward to a flavorful journey, ranging from classic regional cuisine with Mediterranean influences, casual fine dining, Thai specialties, and Italian delicacies to traditional Baden creations with a modern twist.
