in Östliche Kaiserstraße

On Thursday, June 29, 2023, the first neighborhood conference of Östliche Kaiserstraße took place in the event room TRIANGEL took place. The event marked the start of active neighborhood work and offers all business owners, property owners, residents and other interested parties a great opportunity over the next two years to get to know each other and shape the "Östliche Kaiserstraße" neighborhood together.

The first official neighborhood conference gave over 50 participants a comprehensive insight into the ongoing and completed projects and also served as a platform and networking event. A central role was played by the 2023 neighborhood budget of €44,000, which can be used to fund initiatives and projects in the neighborhood.

Working together for the development of Östliche Kaiserstraße

The basis of the neighbourhood development is based on the active participation of the neighbourhood stakeholders, who should contribute and implement their own ideas in a cooperative manner. The funding project is intended to lay the foundations for sustainable development of the neighborhood and create a mentality of personal responsibility. The first of a total of four neighbourhood management teams was set up for the professional organization of the neighbourhood stakeholders and is the first point of contact for interested co-creators in Kaiserstraße East.

The possibilities for designing the neighborhood are numerous. From new event formats, elements to increase the quality of stay to the external presentation of the district in the social media. When developing the measures, the overarching district development goal of creating a district for the cultural and creative industries, start-ups, innovative mobility and student formats should always be pursued.

Creativity and new approaches for Östliche Kaiserstraße

The last item on the agenda was the "open stage". Attendees were able to present initial ideas and possible projects or make general comments on topics relating to the development of the neighborhood. With creative approaches such as creating mobile raised beds, offering children's theater in the existing business spaces or an open day where businesses can present themselves on Kaiserstraße, Östliche Kaiserstraße is to be made more attractive as a community project in the future.
