Show houses
Consisting of three different buildings, the show houses are home to a unique variety of different plants and
plants.
In addition to the large gardens and the orangery, there are other places in the Botanical Garden that are definitely worth seeing—the show houses.
The historic greenhouses look just as they did when they were first built. The three glasshouses correspond to three climate zones. The plants are based on documents from the second half of the 19th century.
In the cool cactus and succulent house, visitors can expect an interplay of green and gray tones, a wide variety of rock cacti, aloes and agaves in the most diverse forms. In the palm house, giant bamboo, palm trees and palm ferns grow right up to the ceiling, which is why this building is the tallest. A colorful sea of orchids and flowers make a visit in winter and spring particularly worthwhile. The last show house, the warm or tropical house, houses a water lily pool, the sandstone walls are also wildly overgrown and the different, beguiling scents and colors of the plants make visitors forget everyday life.
