Museum at the market
Since 1993, the Badisches Landesmuseum has owned the "Museum beim Markt" branch in Karlsruhe. In the former publishing house of the "Badische Neueste Nachrichten", the museum presents its collection of applied art since the turn of the century.
In the Museum beim Markt, the collections of 20th century art focus on a major city that has contributed a great deal to modern architecture and applied art - from Art Nouveau to today's modern building styles.Â
With its permanent exhibition on the second floor and its temporary exhibitions on the first floor, the Museum beim Markt builds a bridge to the historical collections in Karlsruhe Palace. With works from the Bauhaus, founded in 1919, the collection offers a representative. The overview of design from functionalism to current products.
