The marotte-Figurentheater has had a permanent venue in Karlsruhe since 1987. The theater is supported by the city of Karlsruhe and the state of Baden-Württemberg. Every year, around 300 performances in the children's and evening program are given in the house, plus guest performances throughout Germany and Europe.

Description

marotte is characterized by the variety of theatrical means and repertoire. The spectrum ranges from the realization of traditional fairy tales to theatrical versions of modern children's books and experimental pieces. A wide variety of characters are used, including hand puppets, table puppets, shadow puppets, marionettes and objects.
