Baden-style indulgence! What else?

Delicious food and excellent hospitality

The people of Karlsruhe tend to take a more relaxed attitude towards life. In Baden, lifestyle is a matter of importance, which you will quickly realise on a visit to Karlsruhe, for example with a good glass of wine or while sampling the local specialties. In Karlsruhe, gourmets, those with a sweet tooth, and night owls are sure to be satisfied. For local specialties, international recipes or truly special coffee from all over the world, in the Fan City, you can find something to suit all tastes and budgets!

So, where to this evening? The nightlife in Karlsruhe is alive and kicking, as you would expect from a university town. The colourful mix of students, styled scene hipsters and individualists benefit from a wide and diverse selection of locations.

Karlsruhe’s tastiest corners

Something local, a burger or maybe Italian? Your feast is waiting!

There is nowhere so wonderful to eat throughout the country than here in Baden with Karlsruhe also boasting an impressive culinary scene. Indulgence is a way of life in the "Badnerland", where the wine is kissed by the sun and gourmet-minded France is just a stone's throw away.

Corona Virus

Important Information

Due to the official measures implemented by the State of Baden-Württemberg and the city of Karlsruhe to limit the spreading of COVID-19, Karlsruhe’s public life is currently facing severe restrictions. Cultural institutions, hotels and events are especially affected by this. Please refer directly to their individual websites for up-to-date information.

As of May 4th, 2020, the Karlsruhe companies have reopened! The current situation is still existence-threatening for many companies because there is a lack of income from the past few weeks. So take advantage of the opportunities offered and shop locally, whether on site, by telephone or online. All information can be found here. You will also find a list of restaurants that offer a pick-up or delivery service here. The opening times may differ from the information on this website.

Our tourist information office located on Kaiserstraße 72-74 is opened again as well with high security measures Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm and Saturday from 10:30am - 2:30pm.

The city of Karlsruhe provides up-to-date information on the corona crisis at www.corona.karlsruhe.de or by phone +49 721/133-3333.
