In front of the historical ambience of the Durlach Karlsburg castle, there will once again be a variety of insights into the market events of days long past during the Advent weeks this year. At the traditional medieval Christmas market, visitors of all generations can immerse themselves in the colorful hustle and bustle of knights, sword players, jugglers, musicians, craftsmen and all kinds of riders from earlier centuries. Children in particular can travel back in time to the Durlach of the margraves of Baden with fairy tales, dances and knightly spectacles. The flames of the fire baskets, the candlelight in the stalls and booths and the aroma of flat bread, roasted food and aromatic hot drinks create a very special atmosphere.

Fancy a little "Christmas market" on the Turmberg with 1,000 twinkling lights? Served above the rooftops of Durlach "Anders on the Turmberg" Wild boar goulash as well as mulled wine, apple punch and other delicacies.
