Karlsruhe volunteers
in action

The volunteers of the City of Karlsruhe are deployed at a large number of events every year. As volunteers, they act as a link and information carrier between the guests and the organizer and thus play a major role in the welcoming culture of the city of Karlsruhe and its events.

They support municipal and selected external Karlsruhe institutions in a variety of fields of activity: Accreditation, setting up and dismantling of small equipment, visitor surveys and visitor counting, visitor information, visitor guidance/guide, support for active participants (e.g. artists, speakers), catering, support for information containers and exhibition stands, support for installations and hands-on activities, driving service, organizational helpers, personal support (e.g. children, people with disabilities), press support/results service, translation, distribution (e.g. flyers, give-aways).
