(1) Information stand Examples of sustainable and "valuable" achievements by Karlsruhe botanists
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the founding of Karlsruhe Polytechnic - today's KIT - it is appropriate to once again draw attention to the outstanding achievements of great botanical personalities (e.g. Kölreuter, Gmelin, Just, Klein) who have had a lasting impact on Karlsruhe as a center of science to this day.

(2) Botanical tours with musical accompaniment
The aim of the guided tours is to convey to participants how "valuable" the current plant population is and that it represents both a "priceless" and "irreplaceable" resource in view of today's ecological problems with climate change. Guided tours of the garden and greenhouses. Musicians from the Badische Staatskapelle in their role as members of the "Orchester des Wandels Deutschland e.V." association will frame the guided tours with special audio delights, thereby also promoting their own valuable climate projects. The Botanical Garden at KIT emerged from the Botanical Garden at the castle. It stands for a centuries-old tradition of research and has always been a place where solutions to ecological problems with useful plants are successfully sought in nature. Large parts of the garden are open to the public and invite visitors to relax and meet scientists and the general public.

(2) Guided tour - The tower clock of the Lutherkirche
The historic tower clock of the Lutherkirche is a fully mechanical clock built in 1907
by Korfhage. Apart from small parts, it is still in its original condition. First approx. 15 min lecture in the church on the tower clock, then a tour of the tower.

(3) Guided tour - What is the Lutherkirche? Valuable? Priceless? Irreplaceable?
The exterior of the Lutherkirche still has characteristics of historicism, but the interior is decorated in geometric Art Nouveau style. Various influences from England and America can be traced. In an architectural sense, the church was modern at the time it was built, but what value does the Lutherkirche have for us today? First a 20-minute talk in the church, then a tour around the church.

(4) Organ music by and for Eugène Gigout on the 100th anniversary of his death
Short concert as part of the Karlsruhe Organ Walks. In 1907, the Lutherkirche received a German-Romantic organ by Voit in Durlach. Destroyed by war damage, it was first replaced by a Walcker organ in 1953 and then by a Mönch organ in 2001.

(5) Guided tour - The bells of the Lutherkirche
The Lutherkirche has a slender church tower with an open belfry and offers a sweeping view over the city to the west. The current bells date from 1956. 15-minute talk in the church about the clock tower, followed by a tour of the bells.

The Lutherkirche was built between 1905 and 1907 as a district church for the eastern part of the city by the then well-known architectural firm Curjel & Moser on behalf of the parish of Karlsruhe. Looking like a fortified castle on the outside, the interior is strongly influenced by the geometric Art Nouveau style. The contrast between the exterior and interior of the Lutherkirche is fascinating.

Guided tour - From 1877 to 2025: The Karlsruhe tramway over the course of time.
Approximately 20-minute guided tours with some historical background information on the development and origins of the Karlsruhe tramway. From the horse-drawn streetcar to the mirror car to the modern articulated railcar.

The Catholic Church of St. Bernhard in Karlsruhe was built from 1896 to 1901 in the neo-Gothic style according to plans by Max Meckel. Its 93-metre-high tower is the tallest building in the city and dominates the cityscape on Kaiserstraße. The red sandstone building is considered the most important neo-Gothic church building in Baden and has been a listed building since 1992.

Guided tour through the Lohfeldsiedlung
Guided tour of the estate with its historical features. A citizens' initiative succeeded in saving the houses from demolition a good 20 years ago and preserving their cultural and historical features. Some of the houses have been extensively renovated and the gardens have been lovingly landscaped.

The Lohfeldsiedlung was built directly after the First World War for working-class families and still consists of small terraced houses with gardens today. The residents maintain the special ambience of the estate and are organized as neighbors in a non-profit association.
