Open church Hohenwettersbach

The church is open to the public. A special feature of the church are the stained glass windows and a 2 x 3 m painting by Veronika Olma above the altar, which depicts the miracle of Pentecost in egg tempera.

Accessibility: partially barrier-free

  • The original Protestant church was built in 1741. Severely damaged by fire, it was rebuilt and consecrated in a very similar form in 1841. The baptismal font, which is still in use today, was also built in this year. There have been repeated changes. The interior of the church underwent a striking redesign in 1990/2000.
