Karlsruhe
Organ walks
A short organ concert begins every hour on the hour in at least one church in Karlsruhe. The Karlsruhe cantors and "part-time" organists play. Put together your own personal organ walk. After each short concert, you have the opportunity to take a look inside the organ.

For the 15th time, the "German Organ Day" is being held at the same time as the "Open Monument Day". Organ concerts are held throughout Germany, often combined with organ tours. Organ building and organ music in Germany have been part of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage for several years. Over 50,000 instruments are currently "in use". In Karlsruhe, "ORGANUM", a commissioned composition for eight organs brought together by satellite in the ZKM, attracted a great deal of attention at the city's birthday 10 years ago. With the concert series "International Organ Summer" (Stadtkirche Karlsruhe), "Fascination Organ" (Christuskirche), "Masters of the Organ" (Stadtkirche Durlach) and "Friday Organ" (St. Bernhard), Karlsruhe more than lives up to its reputation as an "organ city".
