Le Flamant Rose

When a giant pink flamingo suddenly struts through Karlsruhe's city center, it's not a summer fairy tale - it's street art at its finest! This mechanical masterpiece of invention came to life in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Karlsruhe City Festival.

The flamingo curiously stretched its long neck towards the windows of the buildings in Kaiserstraße, peered mischievously at the spectators walking past and commented on the scenery with rhythmic creaking, squeaking and birdsong. His inner workings were no secret: cogwheels, joints and mechanisms were openly visible - so that you could experience live how imagination and technology intertwined in a wonderful way.

A poetic but also humorous spectacle that amazed young and old alike and transformed the streets of Karlsruhe's city center into a stage. Those who encountered him experienced a wandering invention - in flamingo pink!
