A highlight of the EFFEKTE science festival is the grand opening weekend on Karlsruhe's Schlossplatz on May 17 and 18. In addition to the Science City, the Experiment Park and the Young Researchers' Festival, visitors can look forward to a spectacular stage program. Science shows will thrill visitors with popping and fizzing effects. Evenings include the popular Science Slam, where young scientists present their research topics in a captivating way, and the EFFEKTE.Nightshift. When beats pulsate and holograms dance through the darkness, the EFFEKTE.Nightshift begins at 10 pm! The evening event combines science and art in a fascinating way. To kick things off, the legendary band TON STEINE SCHERBEN feat. Birte Volta will provide musical goosebumps and bring back memories of the sound of the 70s and 80s. You can also meet robots in person and what does it sound like when a big band meets live coding?
