Hardly any other work in dance history has experienced so many different interpretations. However, the consummate beauty of the music and the deeply human ideal of love, loyalty and harmony inherent in the dance are timeless. Following the German premiere in Karlsruhe in 2009, the STAATSBALLETT is now presenting a new production of Christopher Wheeldon's stirring and visually beautiful version of Swan Lake. Christopher Wheeldon is one of the most sought-after young choreographers of our time, whose ballets are danced on stages such as New York, London, Moscow, Hamburg and Zurich. He directed the Morphoses company from 2007 to 2010.
