SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival Karlsruhe 2026
The summer media spectacle at Karlsruhe Palace
In 2026, Karlsruhe will once again become a stage for international media art. The SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival combines spectacular projections on the castle with installations in the city center.
From August 13 to September 13, 2026, the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival Karlsruhe will once again transform the city into a large-scale stage for light, media art, and digital creativity. Over several weeks, decentralized works of art, illuminations, and luminous events will be created in Karlsruhe's city center, offering a new way to experience public space.
The highlight of the festival is the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe: this year, for the 12th time, international artists will transform the 170-meter-long castle facade into a digital work of art using elaborate projections and modern media technology, delighting visitors from all over the world.
