Simone and Thomas want to get their hands on their inheritance. However, the siblings must first run a successful business together, as their father has decreed, so they open a store in Berlin's hippest district. They sell what nerds, business people and young mothers need most there: strong coffee. Unfortunately, business is going badly and at the crucial moment they run out of milk. The coffee shop trainee Helena has to fix it. Motivated by her deep feelings for Thomas, who in turn is in love with a Cuban girl she has never met on the Internet, she resorts to dishonest means and comes across a never-ending source - "white gold". Suddenly the store is buzzing and everyone is scrambling for the mysterious latte with the special recipe. The inheritance seems to be within reach, Thomas can already see himself on a plane to Cuba to see his Paloma, the self-referential Simone dreams of a hip family life and is building her little house on Kollwitzplatz in her mind.In this espresso-black, bittersweet musical comedy, the Bionade bohemians with their activities - sitting around in the café - and preferences - gluten-free yoga lattes - get their fat off: in the truest sense of the word.
