When all of Europe is buzzing with excitement over the Eurovision Song Contest, Karlsruhe joins in—with a very special tram!
On May 15 and 16, 2026,from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the popular karaoke train operated by Verkehrsbetriebe Karlsruhe GmbH will once again become a rolling stage, bringing the true Eurovision Song Contest atmosphere to public transit.
Under the slogan “Karlsruhe 12 Points,” the City of Karlsruhe, the Karlsruhe Public Transportation Authority (VBK) and the Albtal Transportation Company (AVG) , together with passengers, bring music, diversity, and great songs.
At the same time, the two transit companies are using the event as an opportunity to engage with potential new employees in an accessible way and to spark their interest in training and career opportunities in public transportation.
What?
Whether it’s legendary Eurovision hits, the latest catchy tunes, or your personal favorites—on the Karaoke Train, it’s all about grabbing the mic, singing your heart out, and celebrating together. Colorful lighting effects, rousing music, and a lively atmosphere turn every ride into a mini song contest on rails. Employees and trainees from VBK and AVG are on board to answer questions and provide authentic insights into their daily work.
Rides on the karaoke train are free.
Where?
Due to renovation work at Entenfang, the Karaoke Train is operating a shuttle service between Tullastraße and the Haus Bethlehem stop. A detailed schedule is available in the attachment to this event listing, online at stelle-deines-lebens.de and at the stops.
Competition
All singing passengers also have the chance to enter a drawing for a Germany-wide ticket valid for twelve months. Entering is easy:

The karaoke track—the only one of its kind in Germany—is part of a colorful weekend of events centered around the Eurovision Song Contest. Among other things, the occasion is the SWR3 live broadcast from the Schwarzwaldhalle, which will be transformed into an ESC party zone with around 3,500 fans for the event.
With a host of events taking place throughout the city, Karlsruhe is turning into a musical hub this weekend—and the Karaoke Train is right in the thick of it.
