Can artificial intelligence be creative? The Haus der Wissenschaft Braunschweig and KOHI Kulturraum e.V. are exploring the question of whether a computer program can actually write such good poetry that it can no longer be distinguished from texts written by humans in a special kind of competition. Three word artists will be competing against an AI. They will not only present the lines they have written themselves, but also the verses produced by the AI. And the audience gets to guess: Which text is artificial and which is human? Afterwards, the audience can ask scientists questions about AI. The project is part of the Science Year 2019 Artificial Intelligence and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
