Boardwalk Theater - Toujours Kultur
After Corona swept the popular Platzda! street theater festival from Gutenbergplatz for this year, the TOLLHAUS does not want to completely remove the regularly cultivated section from the program schedule in 2020 and is bringing a "street theater with a hygiene concept" to Toujours Kultur at the Alter Schlachthof on a Sunday in August with Boardwalk Theater. Behind the project is an association of various street theater professionals with international experience and based in Germany. Due to the cancellation of all events in the spring, these artists also lost all their income. With the opportunity to stage cultural events again under certain conditions, Boardwalk Theater promises an open-air show program that is a winner in every respect: the performers not only present their program according to all the rules of the art, but also in accordance with the current guidelines on social distancing and hygiene regulations. Boardwalk Theater is the mini-format of a street theatre festival, a flexible open-air theater for a limited audience, so that the necessary safety distance can always be maintained. Three solo artists or duo companies present their best performances over a playing time of around one and a half hours, creating a varied variety program with open-air flair.
