Monuments to the law

Karlsruhe, as the "Residence of Law", is rich in monuments that represent the city's legal history.

Among the most important are the Karl Friedrich Monument, which commemorates the city's founder, as well as the Square of Fundamental Rights and the Square of Human Rights, which symbolize central legal values. The Constitution Column stands as a symbol of the Baden Constitution of 1818 and underlines Karlsruhe's importance in the development of modern law.
