The ‘Platz der Grund­rech­te’ was laid in 2005 between the perimeter road called Zirkel and Schloss­platz (the palace square). Walking through the pedestrian zone, it can be found between Marktplatz and the palace. The square is dotted with 24 double-sided street signs, each describing an important aspect of right and wrong – complete with statements made by judges, lawyers and common citizens who have come into conflict with German law.
