The Schlossplatz makes any visit to the fan-shaped city into something truly special: Go shopping along the fan-shaped streets with a view of Karlsruhe Palace and enjoy a little break. Thanks to its central location, the Schlossplatz is the perfect conclusion to a successful day of exploring Karlsruhe all year round!

The Schlossplatz in front of Karlsruhe Palace with a direct link to the Marktplatz and Kaiserstraße is certainly one of the most popular places in the city centre. However, the Schlossplatz has more to offer than just a view of the baroque palace and the history associated with it. Karlsruhe Palace and the square in front of it, Schlossplatz, form the core of the fan-shaped city. The parallel fan streets Waldstraße, Herrenstraße, Ritterstraße, Lammstraße, Karl-Friedrich-Straße and Kronenstraße all meet here, forming the outline of the famous fan shape. Go shopping along the fan-shaped streets with a view of Karlsruhe Palace and enjoy a day of shopping and exploring!

But not only that, the Schlossplatz is also the venue for a number of different events in Karlsruhe. Be it for the winter wonderland at the Stadtwerke Eiszeit, filling your face at the Foodtruck Convention or marvelling at the light display at the Schlosslichtspiele: the Schlossplatz combines all of the elements of Karlsruhe, a city for shopping and exploration.
