Kronenplatz is located at the eastern end of Kaiserstraße and therefore leads the way into the heart of the fan-shaped city. Together with Europaplatz, Kronenplatz frames the main shopping areas in Karlsruhe city centre and also serves as a cultural meeting point for the youth of Karlsruhe.

Its proximity to the Karlsruher Institute of Technology (KIT) means that it also attracts a lot of students to its cultural events.

At the eastern end of the shopping streets in Karlsruhe, Kronenplatz has mainly created a space for the youth of Karlsruhe. The Karlsruhe’s youth and community centre offers plenty of popular cultural recreational activities and events. If you’re in a shopping mood, the many independent businesses offer unique shopping experiences on a daily basis. In summer, the boules/boccia court is the perfect place to spend an afternoon with friends.
