St. Stephan's Church Square surrounds the Catholic Church of St. Stephan and is centrally located directly opposite the well-known Friedrichsplatz.

With its children's playground and fountain, the square is a sociable meeting place for families or for an evening for two at the Kammertheater and the adjacent restaurants. Like Friedrichsplatz, Kirchplatz St. Stephan is also the venue for numerous events. Whether at Christmas time or at the Karlsruhe City Festival!

Herrenstraße spans from the southern edge of the Karlsruhe Palace to Karlstor on Karlstraße. You can find an A–Z of shops among cultural heritage sites and court buildings, as well as the Federal Court of Justice. You can find everything from A-line skirts to zebra-print couch cushions at the shops along Herrenstraße, as well as everything a well-organised jewellery box, household or wardrobe could ever need.
