Chilling time in the city centre

From the Marktplatz at the heart of the fan-shaped city to the green oasis at Friedrichsplatz, right up to the Kirchplatz St. Stephan – Karlsruhe wins visitors over with its range of central squares across the entire city centre.

Green oases with a wide range of restaurants, bars and music meet spacious squares for families with children, cultural hotspots and large-scale events of all kinds.

They are the venues for regular markets, public events, as well as Karlsruhe’s Christkindlesmarkt in winter.

Situated close to the heart of the city centre, the squares serve as central connections between the individual shopping streets and centres. The visitors enjoy taking a pleasant coffee break during a shopping trip.
