Karlstraße

Two kilometres of shopping fun

Karlstraße is one of the key streets for traffic in the fan-shaped city. With a length of almost two kilometres, it runs through city center west, through city center south, and then in the direction of Beiertheim-Bulach.

As such, Karlstraße has a particularly wide and diverse range of businesses where you can shop or browse. From wedding dresses to quality men’s shirts, right up to blouses made from natural textiles – everybody will find what they are looking for here.

Karlstraße has plenty of options for shopaholics. Primarily the direct connection to the Postgalerie shopping centre close to Europaplatz means that you can have an extensive shopping experience, even when it’s raining. You still want more? The numerous independent businesses provide visitors with the latest fashion trends, culinary delights, and little surprises for your loved ones. The street is named after Grand Duke Charles of Baden, and passes by Kaiserstraße, Kriegstraße, and the A-Road Bundesstraße 10, among others. That means that it is particularly well connected with the transport network in Karlsruhe. All of the shops can be reached easily on foot, by tram or by car.
