Farmers’ markets

At the weekly markets in the city center of Karlsruhe you will find everything your culinary heart desires: fresh fruit or vegetables from the region as well as a variety of flowers as a gift or your home. Every market is worth a visit!

In Karlsruhe, farmers’ markets are held each week at different locations within the individual districts. Here, you can find everything your heart could desire, but above all, you can find fresh local produce of your choice. There’s not much they don’t offer. Be it typical local products from Baden or international specialties from Spain, Italy or Asia.

Almost all year round, from mid-January to the end of November, a vibrant flower market is held each day at Marktplatz (except Sundays), from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The evening market also recently became an established institution among Karlsruhe’s markets thanks to its popularity. Every Wednesday from the end of March to the beginning of October from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can find local, organic produce at Marktplatz.

At Stephanplatz behind the Postgalerie shopping centre, there are around 40 stands offering their gourmet wares three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) from 7.30 a.m. You can find everything a gourmet’s heart could desire; sophisticated specialty items from exotic countries, flowers, and fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as meats.

At Gutenbergplatz in the Weststadt district of Karlsruhe, over 40 stands also offer their local and regional wares, unusual deli specialties, tasty baked goods, fish, and much more three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays) from 7.30 a.m.

Every market is worth a visit! Enjoy the varied selection!
