The numerous farmers’ markets in Karlsruhe leave nothing to be desired. At Marktplatz, a colourful flower market can be found almost all year round, as well as the beloved evening market each Wednesday form the end of March to the beginning of October. At Stephanplatz and Gutenbergplatz, there are around 40 stands offering their gourmet wares three times a week. Here, you can find everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to meat, baked goods, and specialties from exotic countries.

For true collectors, Karlsruhe has a long list of flea markets to offer that invite visitors of all ages to go bargain hunting. You too can find your favourite piece from a bygone era during this very special shopping experience!

Discover the winter wonderland created in Karlsruhe’s city centre at the traditional Christkindlesmarkt. Alongside the Stadtwerke Eiszeit and the Kinderland St. Stephan, this is a very important part of Christmas in the city of Karlsruhe. At the two squares, over 100 different merchants will be offering culinary delights and winter-themed products for visitors of all ages. Christmas excitement guaranteed!
