Record number of participants at Scavenger Hunt Karlsruhe: Cultural scavenger hunt 2.0 motivated more than 270 teams from across the region

Fun, creative teamwork and winning something at the same time: The umbrella brand "Kultur in Karlsruhe", based at KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH, invited visitors to take part in the exciting scavenger hunt 2.0 from September 30 to October 13 after a two-year break.

The aim of the third Karlsruhe Hunt was to discover the cultural diversity of the fan-shaped city in a fun way while solving exciting tasks. And the results are impressive!

"We are thrilled with the great response to our Scavenger Hunt," says project manager Jana Schmeckenbecher from "Kultur in Karlsruhe". "270 teams registered via the app, a new record!". During the two weeks, they were able to solve 150 tricky, creative and fun tasks in Karlsruhe. For example, they had to recreate a painting at the Staatliche Kunsthalle, but reinterpret it in a new way. Or to take a team photo in front of a photo wall at the Badisches Landesmuseum with a motto of their choice. "The two tasks "singing in a pack" and "forming a human chain" were also special, where the teams met at a time communicated by us in advance to sing together or stand up for human rights," explains Schmeckenbecher. The 4,753 tasks submitted via the app testify to the enthusiasm with which the teams participated. This is also an absolute record, as are the 14 teams that completed all the tasks! And: no task was not completed.

Great feedback and glamorous location for award ceremony

The feedback from participants is consistently positive: "We rediscovered institutions that we didn't know even after almost 30 years of living in Karlsruhe.", "We really liked the selection of tasks because there was something for everyone. Logic, handicrafts, drama, sports, crazy things, creative things - simply a very colorful mix." or "We were able to involve the whole family and found great places again." is the feedback. And by solving puzzles together and taking pictures and videos, the teams have memories for later.

The ten best teams received their prizes with a total value of over €2,300 at an award ceremony in the Spiegelsaal of the Schlosshotel Karlsruhe. These included vouchers from local institutions, tickets to museums and exclusive guided tours with a look behind the scenes at the Municipal Gallery and Natural History Museum. "Die Niffler-Bande" made it onto the podium with 8436 points, "Luck(y) Seekers" with 8276 points and "Sunami Chickas" with 8059 points.

A total of 38 Karlsruhe institutions such as the ZKM | Center for Art and Media, Badisches Staatstheater and Badisches Landesmuseum took part in this year's Scavenger Hunt. In addition, there were around 30 sponsors who contributed great prizes.
