For the third time, KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH is teaming up with 13 Karlsruhe hotels to offer a very special experience: "Sleep in your city 2025". On the St. Nicholas weekend from 6 to 7 December 2025, residents of the city and region can enjoy a short break on their own doorstep at exclusive special rates.
This unique opportunity is perfect for discovering the pre-Christmas decorations of Karlsruhe around St. Nicholas Day, experiencing the cultural scene at a theater or concert or looking forward to new culinary delights - without having to travel far! The "Sleep in your city" offer is available from just 79 euros (including city tax) for an overnight stay for two people in a double room, breakfast included.
As a special highlight, there is an exciting adventure program for the participants on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning: they can choose between various free guided tours, for example the city tour "GENESIS by Markus Lüpertz in the underground" or take an exclusive look behind the scenes at the IKEA store in Karlsruhe, the private brewery Hoepfner GmbH or the State Museum of Natural History. There are also small St. Nicholas gifts such as a KVV ticket for the duration of the entire campaign, a voucher for a free mulled wine and a Karlsruhe gift voucher worth 15 euros from the City Initiative Karlsruhe e. V.
"All the ingredients for a wonderful St. Nicholas weekend in Karlsruhe," says a delighted KTG Managing Director Pascal Rastetter. "We are delighted at how many hotel partners and Karlsruhe institutions were immediately willing to support the campaign again. We would also like to express our sincere thanks for the support of DEHOGA Karlsruhe. The past two years have obviously shown how much Karlsruhe as a destination benefits from "Sleep in your city"."
In this way, guests not only take advantage of the gastronomy and shopping on offer this weekend and thus support the local economy. They also discover the regional hotel landscape for future visits by family and friends. And very importantly: "They experience their own city as a tourist destination, get to know new corners of Karlsruhe and talk about it enthusiastically - in short: they are the best Karlsruhe ambassadors," explains Pascal Rastetter.
The offer can be booked from October 22, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. at: www.karlsruhe-erleben.de/schlaf-in-deiner-stadt. The only condition: At least one overnight guest per room must provide proof of residence in the city or region of Karlsruhe at check-in.
