With the two new partners added after the successful premiere in 2024, KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH sees its event concept as a validation. Managing Director Pascal Rastetter affirms: "Our goal was to bring an important cultural asset of the city to life in a special way, similar to KAMUNA, the Karlsruhe Museum Night. In Karlsruhe, once the third-largest beer production center in Germany, beer is not just a beverage, but an expression of the Baden way of life. We are delighted that we have succeeded in creating a new, enjoyable city experience with the "Long Night of Breweries."
Program for young and old and free travel with mobility partner KVV
The participating breweries – including Badisch Brauhaus, Brauerei Wolf, Kühler Krug, Fächerbräu, Hoepfner, Moninger, as well as Vogelbräu Karlsruhe and Durlach – will present their traditional and creative beer specialties on July 11th and offer exclusive behind-the-scenes insights. Guests can also expect many program highlights, including live music, a stage program, a beer Olympics, and, of course, culinary delights. Non-alcoholic "samples" will also be available on-site for children, teenagers, and non-beer drinkers.
DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE: The Karlsruhe Transport Association (KTG) is committed to the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages within the framework of legal regulations. Therefore, the Karlsruhe Transport Association is the mobility partner of the "Long Night of the Breweries Karlsruhe." With the event ticket, participants can travel from home to the event locations, as well as between the event locations and back home. The ticket is valid for all public transport in the entire KVV network.
Culinary journey through the world of beer: the breweries in detail
The Badisch Brauhaus at Stephanienstraße 38-40 has been brewing its own beer since 1999, distributed to all levels of the establishment via a dedicated pipeline. The classics, BADISCH HELL and BADISCH DUNKEL, as well as seasonal specialty beers, are all handcrafted.
The traditional Wolf Brewery was founded in 1885. Although the brewery in Karlsruhe was closed in 2009, the Wolf brand lives on: It is now operated under the umbrella of the Heidelberg Brewery and distributed by Fächerbräu Karlsruhe.
Fächerbräu is a sustainable organic cuckoo brewery that stands for diversity, organic quality, and social commitment. It uses regional ingredients wherever possible for its beers, such as organic barley, organic wheat, organic hops, and yeast from Baden and neighboring countries. This creates beers full of character and responsibility – and every sip supports local projects and a sustainable culture of enjoyment.
At the “Long Night of Breweries” both breweries will be presenting themselves at the “Fächerbräu Biergarten” event location at Egon-Eiermann-Allee 8 .
The family-run Brauhaus Kühler Krug brewery , located at Wilhelm-Baur-Straße 3, is idyllically situated in the recreational area of Karlsruhe and combines over 125 years of brewing tradition with rustic hospitality. Today, Kühler Krug presents itself as a modern brewery with its own brewery, producing unfiltered, naturally cloudy beers according to the German Purity Law of 1516.
One of the oldest German breweries is Hoepfner at Haid-und-Neu-Straße 18. Liquid gold has been flowing here since 1798. In the historic castle in the eastern part of the city, regional brewing tradition meets Passion, Heart and craftsmanship – and the specially bred and patented “Hoepfner yeast”.
Another established institution in Karlsruhe is the Moninger Brewery at Zeppelinstraße 15. Characterful beers have been produced here since 1856. The brewers rely on aromatic hops and traditional brewing methods.
Unfiltered beers are Vogelbräu 's specialty. The original beer is brewed in two copper kettles in front of guests in the Karlsruhe restaurant at Kapellenstraße 50. The brewing process over real fire delivers the unmistakable, delicately bitter flavor.
At Vogelbräu Durlach, located at Amalienbadstraße 16, the brewing and distilling tower is the focal point of this rustic local brewery. Unfiltered beer and beer spirits are also served here. New to the line is the exclusive "Baden Single Malt Whisky."
