Staatsweingut Karlsruhe-Durlach

Above the margrave city Durlachraises the Turmberg which is 225 m high. At the foot of the tower is the State Vineyard Karlsruhe - Durlach.

The vineyard was founded in 1903. Since 1993 it belongs to the L-Bank.

Thanks to the floor which is rich in minerals and the micro clima the wine disposes of the best preconditions for a good quality. Most of the State Vineyard is planted with traditional grape varietes typical for the region:

Riesling // Auxerrois // Weißburgunder // Muskat-Ottonel // Grauburgunder // Lemberger // Spätburgunder

In April there is the WeinWanderWochenende im April, in May the new wine will be presented and in July the winery opens his backyard for wine tastings.

Wine tastings can also be booked (from 10 persons). Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday is the wine selled from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Every first Saturday of the month (excluding January and August) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointements can also be individually arranged.
