The Baden State Theatre is located next to Ettlinger Gate and is divided into three sections (three fixed venues in two buildings). The Marotte Puppet Theatre has had a permanent stage in Karlsruhe since 1987 and is sponsored by the city of Karlsruhe and the State of Baden-Württemberg.
