Our sustainable mission statement
creative.energetic.together.
At the start of the certification process for sustainable destinations in July 2021, we took a close look at the company's mission statement, which dated back to 2014, the year KTG was founded.
By asking questions such as "What drives us?" or "What is the motivation behind our actions?", we used the power of community as a team to define our vision, identify our mission and corporate purpose and redesign our value landscape.
We are proud that we developed the mission statement as a team. All employees put their heads together, discussed and made decisions together. It quickly became clear that our company abbreviation KTG stands for more than just Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH. Rather, it stands for the way we work, think and act. It stands for CREATIVE. ACTIVE. TOGETHER.

We love our multifaceted city and the region in which we are embedded. This is also reflected in our vision. As a destination that many guests are currently only discovering at second glance, it is particularly important to us that tourism awareness in the city, but also in the region, continues to grow. Our love for the destination and our awareness of the quality of our offers not only make us an indispensable partner for tourism, but also the most sustainable city destination in Germany.

We are aware of the great importance of our partners, who make the city and region a destination worth living in and loving. They are the basis of our work. For them, we are networkers and ambassadors. For them, we are the mouthpiece of tourism. It was important to us to capture this great importance in our mission.

We also took a close look at our values - in our daily dealings with each other, but also with our guests and partners. The finite nature of resources, both our own and those entrusted to us, was one of the important topics and has a central place in our value landscape. A good basis for the most sustainable city travel destination in Germany in the future.
