Disposal fund
for the neighborhoods
Design your neighborhood!
Small-scale measures and projects in city districts can now receive financial support. A key component of this are the so-called discretionary funds, which enable citizens, initiatives, cultural and educational institutions, associations, and companies to actively participate in changing and shaping the city. These district budgets are intended to promote innovative ideas that support the development goals of the respective districts.
These discretionary funds consist of four neighborhood-specific budgets, which can be used to finance up to 100% of project costs. The neighborhood management team provides support with the application process and implementation to ensure that the projects can be successfully realized.
Interested parties can fill out an application form and present their project ideas. A decision-making committee, consisting of neighborhood stakeholders and representatives of the City of Karlsruhe, evaluates the applications and regularly makes funding decisions. Particular attention is paid to ensuring that the projects support the neighborhood-specific development goals.
You can find the application form for the disposition funds on the city administration's project page www.karlsruhe.de/city-transformation.
Applications can be submitted either by e-mail to city-transformation@karlsruhe.de or by post to the Office for Urban Development of the City of Karlsruhe, 76124 Karlsruhe. In addition, applicants must enclose a de minimis declaration to prove compliance with EU regulations on subsidies.
