The number 110 shows a new face

Kaiserstraße, the main shopping Karlsruhe's main shopping streetis also struggling with vacancies. An innovative window display at Kaiserstraße 110 draws attention to the "City Transformation" project. The window display not only aims to attractively conceal a vacancy, but also sends out a strong signal for a joint approach to the current and upcoming challenges facing Karlsruhe's city center.

The playful design shows, on the one hand, a dusty store space that has been vacant for some time and, on the other, the same store with a new and attractive concept. The design is intended to symbolically draw attention to the fact that only local people working together can make the city worth living in.

Behind this sticker campaign is the "City Transformation," which aims to encourage cooperation and participation. The federally funded project offers instruments such as the rental model, which promotes innovative ideas and provides financial support to companies setting up shop in downtown Karlsruhe. Another form of support is the so-called neighborhood budget, which enables companies, citizens, and associations to finance projects that are intended to improve the quality of life in inner-city neighborhoods in the long term.

Such support offers a unique opportunity for the local community to play an active role in the development and transformation of their city.
