More quality of stay
for Karlstrasse

Thanks to the committed cooperation between the interest group "IG Karlstraße" and the city administration of Karlsruhe, revitalization measures are being implemented to further enhance the historically significant district.

The "IG Karlstraße" initiative brings together local businesses that work together to develop ideas and plan activities to transform the "Karlstraße" district into a lively and attractive place. A first meeting was organized in July 2022, which focused on the design of southern Karlstrasse. The focus was on the topic of "green" in order to emphasize the importance of a green environment for the well-being and quality of life of residents and visitors.

Under the direction of the Office for Urban Development, a service provider was commissioned to place palm trees and benches along Karlstrasse in order to improve the aesthetic appearance and quality of the street. This is a further step that contributes to the sustainable development of the neighborhood.

The project "City-Transformation" project makes a significant contribution to the implementation of projects of this kind and shows how cooperative collaboration between the private sector and city administration can transform a city district into a thriving and vibrant neighborhood. Further measures and ideas are already being planned to make the "Karlstrasse" district even more attractive and liveable.
