Olympic feeling in Karlsruhe city center
While athletes from all over the world competed for medals at the Summer Olympics in Paris, the KME Karlsruhe Marketing and Event GmbH and local clubs invited people to the "Karlsruhe trains for the Olympics" sports action day in the city center on 1 August 2024. Whether breaking, field hockey, inclusion sports, judo, skateboarding or ultimate frisbee - between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., various Olympic disciplines could be experienced and tried out up close on the market square.
Five Karlsruhe sports clubs and the B-Boys and -Girls of Team Combo took part with a free show and hands-on program:

Pop-up skate park on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Rollbrett e. V. Karlsruhe with sessions & various challenges on different obstacles, where everyone interested could take part and win small prizes.

The Stadtwerke Karlsruhe's mobile drinking water dispenser offered wonderfully cool and free refreshment.
Construction Site Foosball Cup 2024
From 5:30 p.m. on the market square in cooperation with the Stadtwerke Karlsruhe accompanied by a table football tournament took place. Anyone who registers as a four-person team by July 28, 2024 by e-mail to info@karlsruhe-erleben.de were given the opportunity to win KSC tickets, Karlsruhe gift vouchers, vouchers for the Ettlinger Tor Karlsruhe, organic beers from Fächerbräu and unique trophies with building site-with the character of a building site. Participation was free of charge.
Karlsruhe trains for the Olympics was a measure of the city marketing as part of the construction site marketing on the occasion of the redesign of the Kaiserstraße.
