Olympic feeling in Karlsruhe city center
While athletes from all over the world competed for medals at the Summer Olympics in Paris, KME Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH joined forces with local clubs to host the "Karlsruhe trains for the Olympics" sports action day in the city center on 1 August 2024. Whether breaking, field hockey, inclusion sports, judo, skateboarding or ultimate frisbee - between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., various Olympic disciplines could be experienced and tried out up close on the market square.
Five Karlsruhe sports clubs and the B-Boys and -Girls of Team Combo took part with a free show and hands-on program:

The Stadtwerke Karlsruhe's mobile drinking water dispenser offered wonderfully cool and free refreshment.
Construction Site Foosball Cup 2024
From 5:30 p.m., a table football tournament was held on the market square in cooperation with Stadtwerke Karlsruhe. Anyone who registered as a four-person team by e-mail to info@karlsruhe-erleben.de by July 28, 2024, had the opportunity to compete for KSC tickets, Karlsruhe gift vouchers, vouchers for the Ettlinger Tor Karlsruhe, organic beers from Fächerbräu and unique trophies with a construction site character. Participation was free of charge.
Karlsruhe trains for the Olympics was a measure of the city marketing as part of the construction site marketing on the occasion of the redesign of the Kaiserstraße.
