Influencer Marketing for Karlsruhe-Based Businesses – Staying Visible During the Construction Phase

March through December 2026

Text

Between March and December 2026, the Karlsruhe City Marketing is focusing on targeted influencer marketing as part of its construction site marketing campaign: Frauke from “faecherliebe” and Kim from “piekfeinkim” are documenting the Karlsruhe city center throughout the construction phase and highlighting the affected businesses on their social media channels—especially on Instagram.

Is Kaiserstrasse in Karlsruhe just a construction site? Not a chance!

With authentic insights, personal recommendations, and modern formats, Frauke and Kim showcase the diversity of the city center and highlight local attractions. In addition, they feature selected events and promotions organized by Karlsruhe City Marketing—such as the Festival of the Senses, the Karlsruhe City Festival or program items related to the construction site – are all included in the coverage. The construction site itself is also brought to life from new perspectives: with fascinating background information, unique viewpoints, and behind-the-scenes insights.

The focus is on retail and restaurant businesses along Kaiserstrasse, which are directly affected by the construction work for the redesign . These include, in 2026, businesses in the west between Ritterstraße and Herrenstraße, as well as those in the east between Adlerstraße and Kronenstraße.

The project aims to showcase Karlsruhe’s downtown as a livable, diverse, and attractive destination that is constantly evolving, despite ongoing construction. At the same time, it helps participating businesses boost their digital visibility and reach new target audiences. In this way, influencer marketing combines digital reach with local presence and authenticity—and helps keep the downtown area vibrant and engaging even during the construction phase.

Influencer marketing is a strategy used by city marketing as part of construction site marketing in connection with the redesign of Kaiserstrasse.
