Dig, build, participate
– Children’s construction site
Kaiserstraße
June 10-15, 2025 |
Kaiserstraße between Adler- & Lammstraße
Attention, children's construction site!
From June 10 to 15, Karlsruhe's Kaiserstraße between Adlerstraße and Lammstraße was once again transformed into an adventurous children's construction site – with a large sandbox and a daily changing, free hands-on program that combined fun and creativity. Instead of watching from the sidelines, children of all ages could become master builders themselves and get stuck in. They were supported on June 12 by childhood hero Bob the Builder.
Anyone who has always wanted to drive a forklift, build and paint a house, construct a giant marble run, or create the most beautiful sand sculpture was warmly invited to visit the children's construction site.
A special highlight was the large sandpit at Kaiserstraße 137-139 (Schöpf fashion store). From Tuesday afternoon to Sunday evening, between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., children were able to dig, build, and play to their heart's content—a real construction site experience included. The sandpit was built with the support of vomFASS and Marktplatz Carré . The toys were provided by IKEA and Theo Klein GmbH . The sandpit was set up on Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025. It was open for use starting around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The program was free.

From a large platform, they built a giant marble run out of long pipes, angles, and supports. Whether it was curves, free fall, or sound effects—there were no limits to their creativity.
