Dig, build, participate
– Children’s construction site
Kaiserstraße
June 10-15, 2025 |
Kaiserstraße between Adler- & Lammstraße
Attention, children's construction site!
From 10 to 15 June, Karlsruhe's Kaiserstraße between Adlerstraße and Lammstraße will once again be transformed into an adventurous children's construction site - with a free hands-on program that combines fun and creativity. Instead of watching from the sidelines, children of all ages can become master builders themselves and lend a hand. They will be supported by childhood hero Bob the Builder on June 12.
Anyone who has always wanted to drive a forklift, build and paint a house, construct a giant marble run, or create the most beautiful sand sculpture is cordially invited to visit the children's construction site.
A special highlight is the large sandpit at level 137 - 139 (Modehaus Schöpf). From Tuesday afternoon to Sunday evening between 11:00 and 17:00, you can dig, build and play there to your heart's content - real building site feeling included. The sandpit is being realized with the support of vomFASS and the Marktplatz Carré. The toys were provided by IKEA and the Theo Klein GmbH. The sandpit will be set up on Tuesday, 10.06.2025, in the morning. It can be used from around 13:00 on Tuesday.
KME Karlsruhe Marketing and Event GmbH and the Civil Engineering Department of the City of Karlsruhe are looking forward to welcoming many young construction professionals and wish them lots of fun exploring the children's construction site!
The program is free of charge.
