As KME Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH, we are the central point of contact for major events in Karlsruhe. Several times a year city festivals, image campaigns and identity-creating marketing measures as well as expertise and consulting services for event safety complete our portfolio.

About the job
- The position is located in the City Marketing department of KME and is to be filled as of 01.07.2025
- The position is to be filled part-time (19.5 hours / week) for a limited period until 31.12.2027
- Remuneration is in accordance with TVöD (VKA)
Your tasks
- Responsible for the coordination and further development of the Volunteer Program of the City of Karlsruhe (e.g. with regard to mission statement, volunteer database, print and online marketing)
- Contact person and support for the current 140 volunteers as well as all applicants and interested parties
- Contact person and acquisition of around 40 external event organizers
- Software-based checking and publication of incoming demand reports, deployment and shift planning as well as evaluation for approx. 50 events per year
- Briefing and supporting volunteers on site at major events
- Budget planning and management as well as billing of external assignments
- Preparation and implementation of training courses, further training and the annual volunteer party
- Participation in quarterly meetings with the speaker team

Your profile
- a completed professional qualification (training/studies)
- Ideally initial experience in volunteer management and/or working with volunteers
- confident IT skills, MS-Office, good German language skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Interest in the city of Karlsruhe and in helping to shape the city's attractiveness
- A strong customer and service orientation
- an open, approachable, committed, flexible and resilient personality, with the willingness to
to work evenings and weekends
