Medieval Christmas Market, 26 November–22 December 2019

The traditional Medieval Christmas Market in Durlach is an annual event that is held against the beautiful backdrop of Karslburg Castle, at the heart of old town, from the end of November to 22 December.

With its medieval stands, musicians and culinary delicacies, the market is an enchanting place for young and old. A variety of crafts’ folk and merchants offer fascinating insight into life in the Middle Ages, making the market a great place for families with children. It is an interactive, first-hand experience of bygone times, with archery and exhibition jousting. Culinary delicacies, from traditional fried sausage to sour marinated roasts and hot mulled wine, add the finishing touches to a perfect visit to the Durlach Medieval Christmas Market.
