Smallest Christmas market in Karlsruhe

The smallest and highest Christmas market in the Fan City, known as "Winterzauber", is located in the district of Durlach. Perched up high on Turmberg hill, it lends a truly magical touch to the Christmas experience.

Turmberg hill is a great destination for day trips all year round. The view of the city lights spread out down below is particularly romantic when the autumn leaves begin to turn golden and the days grow gradually shorter. At this time of the year, the Anders auf dem Turmberg restaurant, the spacious Hofbistro and the Kuschel Lounge are decked out in seasonal decorations and glow in the light of innumerable candles. Also on offer from November onwards are the cosy Shepherds’ Wagon and the rustic Builders’ Trailer directly outside the Keep that are ideal spots for an unusual rendezvous and fantastic locations for a small Christmas party.

The Hof Bistronomie is widely considered one of the best places in Karlsruhe for al fresco dining, even in autumn and winter. The trendy castle bistro serves small delicacies from the Turmberg kitchens all year round – with stunning sunsets included. There are plenty of private comfy corners in our courtyard and on our terraces with cosy blankets and furs.

There is no better place to enjoy a mulled wine than along the castle parapet, especially when it is accompanied by Christmas music and scents – along with plenty of ideas for presents.

„Anders auf dem Turmberg“ is not just a nice place to sip on a mulled wine and enjoy the fabulous view, but also a very special venue for your Christmas party.
