In 2004, master optician Birgit Deck took over Bassmann Optik and has continued the tradition of top quality and professional advice ever since. Like the main branch on Kaiserstrasse, the new branch at Waldstrasse 42a is now also fully committed to the Bassmann philosophy.

Since December 1, 2019, Bassmann has had a branch at the former location of the Skog42 boutique, where it also impresses with a select range of products, space for eye tests, and an ergonomically designed workstation in the basement where customers can test their computer glasses directly—because Bassmann Optik specializes in the precise fitting of progressive lenses and computer glasses and takes the necessary measurements using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled measuring devices.

Two employees in Waldstraße and four employees and owner Birgit Deckt in Kaiserstraße offer their customers personalized advice and the best service. All glasses from Waldstraße are taken to the in-house, state-of-the-art workshop in Kaiserstraße, where repairs and fitting of lenses into frames can be carried out in the shortest possible time. Sunglasses are also part of the range at Waldstraße, of course. The Bassmann team brings the best trends to Waldstraße as early as January, so that every customer is well prepared and stylishly equipped for the first rays of sunshine in 2019.
